Made a little more progress.....
If you really don't feel like reading a lot....perhaps this thread isn't good for you right now.LOL.
It took a while, but,I got a little work done. I installed the a/c bracket and new steering pump first. I found that I was missing some fasteners, so,I went to Lowe's and grabbed what I needed, came home, and installed the a/c compressor. Nice. After that,I installed the billet smog delete pulley. I'm going to take it off and paint the pulley black to match the rest later on down the road. After all of that as done,I removed the lights, header panel, hood latch, steering fluid cooler, and overflow bottle then installed the brand new condenser. I will hook up the harness when I take the Sport to have the rest finished for me. I'll also sand and paint the dryer bracket and have it ready as well.Hopefully the hoses will route where they need to go with my strut tower brace. I suppose in time we'll see. It was 104 before they added the "heat index" and I probably drank two gallons of fluids today....literally. I had a cranky moment when I was finished, and I was going to put the tool box away, and the handle broke, the toolbox fell, and tools went EVERYWHERE. I had a couple of colorful words to say, then I found some inner peace, showered, and started to relax. It was worth it.I made progress.
On another note,I got a chrome upper radiator hose for super cheap (in excellent shape). My blue Good Year hose has a slice in it and I'm afraid it may let go soon,so,I got the chrome one.It was cheaper than a stock replacement, and a lot cheaper than a replacement blue hose. If I find a chrome lower, and the price is right,I'll grab one.....later.
Jerry, pics tomorrow of what I did,and also so you can see the brackets.
I didn't use the big black steel bracket up front that goes from the water pump bolts to the compressor (I couldn't find it). I may later if and when I run across it...or I may not. My friend has the exact same setup (all from an '88 Bird) on his '68 Stang, and his bracket it also gone. The compressor doesn't move.
There's my update for today..
