Spring clamps? February 15, 2010, 12:04:15 AM Anyone ever used coil spring clamps to semi-temporarily lower (or raise) their bird/coug? How'd it work out? Quote Selected

Spring clamps? Reply #2 – February 15, 2010, 07:20:00 AM I used clamps to raise the rear of a fox mustang to accomodate huge tires (to match my mullet back then...). They worked fine, and I kept them on there until I sold it. Quote Selected
Spring clamps? Reply #3 – February 15, 2010, 01:11:27 PM I dont really care to spend the time or money on lowering springs for my rusty old beater daily driver. I just want to try dropping it an inch or two and see if it helps highway mileage. Its not really worth a lot of time and effort. Quote Selected

You will lose some ride comfort, Quote Selected

Spring clamps? Reply #6 – February 16, 2010, 09:50:55 PM Its pretty much a proven fact that lowering reduces frontal area and thus drag. It won't be 5 mpg but when you're laid off anything helps. Quote Selected
