new guy from laurel no tack no speedo

i posted on nato but just wanted to see what you guys say and if you could put in on some stuff here i do engines not electric teck stuff, i have a science project due and i need my speedo, sucks being in high school. lol.

here's my post from NATO

i was takeing a drive in my 88 tc and i heard a little pop and my speedo and tack weren't working we checked all the fuses weather or not it had to do with the cluster or not. my other gauges work fine except my temp gauge but that hasn't worked sense i got the car, have took the time to change the sencer. i thought at first it was from the speedo tick when the blinker was on but now it doesn't do the "ford needle jump" lol. when the needles went out my over boost buzzer came on kinda scared me lol. my cheak engine light was on because my IAC is a gonner so i just unpluged it but now it dosent light up, so now my lights dont come, just the side gauges work. any help would greatly apreceated. i dont want any tickets lol.

They said that I need to check my fusible links under the hood? My premium switch does not work either.

The instrument cluster is powered by fuse 18, that is fed by a fuse link... If the wiring diagram is correct that fuse link also feeds the coil, so if it's running the FL isn't the problem...

Ok thanks the fuse is not blown. So I guess I'll pull the cluster to see what lies beneath.
