8.8 Swap, Control arms?

Pulled an 8.8 from an 88 xr7 in the yard.  Do I need the upper/lower control arms or will the ones from the 7.5 fit?

PS.  That thing is heavy.

Thanks,

The lowers and uppers will work fine.  If you wanna get creative, Fox body mustang aftermarket lower control arms are a direct bolt in.  However, the stang uppers do NOT work on a cougar unless you get an adjustable length upper control arm.  Hope this helps.

CHE engineering makes adjustable uppers as well as some other goodies in the proper lengths for our cars.....

I have the non-adjustable upper and lowers.  GREAT product!

The stang lowers are a bolt in but will move the rear end 1" closer to the front of the wheel well opening as they are shorter.
Not really the best idea.

If my 7.5s work, then I'll use those.  I was just happy to get an 8.8 w/ quad shocks and a posi from a cougar so I can just bolt it in.

Thanks.

Seems like you could build a jig using the stock stamped ones and weld up a pair pretty easy.

Do they make a noticeable difference in traction?

If one could do that, and charge $125.00 a set, they would sell great.
