Wish me luck

My 15 year old daughter has to drive my Cougar to and from school for a month or so.  About 1000 kids in the high school.

My car may be short lived.  Im obviously a little concerned about it, we drove around awhile tonight in it.  She did fine.

We'll see what happens. :burnout:

Good luck.Don't you have to be 16 to drive alone?

We have school licenses around here, so they can only drive by themselves to school and back and thats it. No friends in the car either.

Here you have to have an adult till you get a real license. Then your not supposed to drive with freinds, but I never knew of anyone to even get in trouble. I'd make something up about it being school or work related and get off every time. This is the sixer right? That will stop her from doing anything stupid on purpose. Most 16 year olds are good drivers until there friends get involved. I was an exception though. I was dumber without other people in the car.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Its my 5.0 Cougar.  Her grandparents are giving her a 91 plymouth acclaim, just waiting on that deal.

I told her no driving anyone home, straight home, cellphone off and in the covered console.

I was driving to school at 14, had drivers ed classes my 8th grade summer.  Seems young, now that I look back.

Surely those were outsourced and badged as a ford, right?
