Need Help Asap!!!!!

Doing motor mounts

I just dropped all the exaust out of the why and pulled the headers but I cant get a socket over the top of the bolt. So i cant tell what size wrench I need to get.

Only guesses I can come up with are 20 or 21 mm or 13/16. I cant tell for sure.

Do i jack it up on the front oil pan sump or the rear sump? Really dont want to screw that up.

ANY HELP IS GOOD HELP!!!!!!

You don't have to take the headers off, just unbolt the engine mount from the car (that long 5" bolt) and than take off the two bolts that goto the engine block. Jack up the motor a little bit to get the whole mount assy out.

hey sorry, i didnt get your pm until now. I hate working saturdays. I replaced the rubber after the motor was already out of the car then just put the bolt that goes through the middle in when it was in line.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

took about 10.5 11 hours total. from start to finish but I was gone for about an hour to get food, wire and shrink wrap. I screwed up my O2 sensor wires when i did my duals so i had to re do the extensions.

Bob thanks again it helped and Haystack too. Didnt think i did too bad for having no idea what I was really doing.

No need to remove any of the exhaust.  You can unbolt the mount from the engine and the K-member, jack the engine up a bit, and pull the entire mount out.
