Need Hood Scoop Pics

If you have any pics of T-bird/Coug Hoods with a Hood scoop of any kind on it, Please post it.

I'm especially looking for a pic with this scoop installed backwards:

Thanks.

That scoop installed backwards looks stupid... use the proper scoop from an '83 GT if you want it backwards...:flip: I have both of those style scoops sitting in my garage...  Here is my Tbird with a '69 Mach I scoop.

Is it really a scoop if it's backwards?

Aaaaah,true.I didn't think of that.

As far as scoops go,I think a shaker would rock.I wanted to put one on the Sport.Still may do that one day,but only if it actually works like it should.

I wouldn't call it a scoop, I would call it a hot air sucker outer. Instead of forcing air in, in reverse you would be sucking hot air out of the engine bay. Kinda the same idea as raising the rear of the hood helps get the hot air sucked outta there.

with the hood slightly lifted,it does release a lot of hot air,but also prevents the front end from lifting at speed.

As far as scoops,I am happy with the appearance of the TC hood, but I have one issue with it,the scoops don't do anything (since I have a V-8).I like scoops, buttons, whatever,to actually have a purpose,a function.I only have the TC hood because I couldn't find a nice flat hood and the TC hood cost under $40.00.If I EVER find an affordable shaker setup I'll find another flat hood and get that work started.

Vin. A shaker wouldn't be all that hard if you can work fiberglass. Get a fiberglass replacement tbird hood and graft the raised center section from a mach 1 hood onto or into it. Either that or do like the knock off aftermarket shaker companies do and sut a hole and make a gasket aroud it. I dont care for the look of it that way personally. I still have my damaged Mach 1 hood if anyody wants the center section out of it.
