Missing code-scanner wire?! November 02, 2008, 01:36:20 PM I went outside to verify that I cannot find this wire still. To scan codes, the scanner must be hooked up to the main connector, plus a second single pin connector. I cannot find this single pin wire ANYWHERE. Where does it come from and were could it have gone? It is the gray connector seen in this photo: http://img.sharedlog.com/img/work/D4/F.jpg Quote Selected

Missing code-scanner wire?! Reply #2 – November 02, 2008, 04:40:00 PM Quote from: TurboCoupe50;241311Yup that appears to be the connector...That's an internet picture. I used to have it but I can no longer find that wire. I have no idea where it went, especially since I haven't touched that corner of the engine bay. Quote Selected
Missing code-scanner wire?! Reply #3 – November 02, 2008, 06:42:39 PM once upon a time, i had a coug that the plastic connector itself came off and i lost it. The metal crip was still there and sometimes it got lost in the harness. Quote Selected
Missing code-scanner wire?! Reply #4 – November 03, 2008, 12:01:45 AM It should be right there with the other connector. If it isn't there then it had to be cut or hidden like jcassity said. Quote Selected
Missing code-scanner wire?! Reply #5 – November 03, 2008, 02:42:52 PM I'll dig around again but I've already done this a couple times for 15+ minutes at a time, digging through all the loom and harness to find it. I even unplugged everything on that side of the car, took the battery out, and everything but I cannot find any trace of it. It was there prior to the engine swap...I have no idea where it went but I don't even see a bare wire anywhere. I have not touched that corner of the engine bay for modification as those connectors are far away from everything else useful. Quote Selected
