Missing code-scanner wire?!

I went outside to verify that I cannot find this wire still. To scan codes, the scanner must be hooked up to the main connector, plus a second single pin connector. I cannot find this single pin wire ANYWHERE. Where does it come from and were could it have gone? It is the gray connector seen in this photo: http://img.sharedlog.com/img/work/D4/F.jpg

Yup that appears to be the connector...

That's an internet picture. I used to have it but I can no longer find that wire. I have no idea where it went, especially since I haven't touched that corner of the engine bay.

once upon a time, i had a coug that the plastic connector itself came off and i lost it.  The metal crip was still there and sometimes it got lost in the harness.

It should be right there with the other connector. If it isn't there then it had to be cut or hidden like jcassity said.

I'll dig around again but I've already done this a couple times for 15+ minutes at a time, digging through all the loom and harness to find it. I even unplugged everything on that side of the car, took the battery out, and everything but I cannot find any trace of it. It was there prior to the engine swap...I have no idea where it went but I don't even see a bare wire anywhere. I have not touched that corner of the engine bay for modification as those connectors are far away from everything else useful.
