Who here runs an AOD with 3.73 gears?

If you run this combo in your ride, what kind of RPM's are you turning at 65 MPH?  How about 55 MPH also?  Thanks in advance guys.

With 205/70 tires....ummm....like 2600 @ 80 mph, 2100 maybe 2200 @ 70. I got the digi-dash so its in increments of 200 rpm so yeah best guess ya know lol but I honestly dont know exactly what it is at 60/65, as you can probably imagine by the figures I gave Im terrible out there hahahhaha

60mph in OD was just a hair over 2000rpm.

my speedo is about 5-6 mph off but it should be around 2000 at 60 or so.

Your sig says you're running a 2.73:1 rear gear.  :dunno:

I'm all screwed up now.  Some guys are saying they're turning around 2000 RPM's and some are saying they're turning around 2600 at 60-65 mph.  :giggle:

I tried that site, but for some reason, it won't do the calculation for me.  :punchballs:

If I went with a direct-drive AOD (lock-up), that calculator says I'd be turning about 2000 RPM's at 65 mph.  Since I'll probably go with a non direct-drive converter, I'll probably be turning around 2100-2200 RPM's at 65 mph when you factor in the slippage of the converter.  That's still not bad.  I'll just have to make sure I have a properly sized tranny cooler.
