Antenna replace September 02, 2008, 05:50:57 AM I have the power antenna on my 88 T-Bird and I believe it is time to replace. It no longer goes up/down (luckily it was up when quit) and reception on AM, yes I listen to talk radio alot, is spotty. Should I get another power, or go to fixed? Is there a tech sheet on doing this, either way? Quote Selected

Antenna replace Reply #5 – September 03, 2008, 02:01:13 AM Thanks for the help. I tagged a couple on Ebay to watch. Is there advice/instructions out there on how to access it to replace it? As I understand it, it is between the RF fender and the wheel well enclosure. How hard will that be to get to? Quote Selected
Antenna replace Reply #6 – September 03, 2008, 07:31:43 AM loosen the rear of the fender liner and you will seethe bolt retaining the antenna. there is also a tubenut that goes through the top of the fender. takesa spec. socket. pull the antenna wire off and its out.sometimes its easier just to drop the whole liner.few screws at the outside of the fender and somepush in retainers with a pullout center pin.
