The problem is likely the speed sensor gear which is easy to replace.

Do you have buttstuffog or digital instrumentation?

I am not sure about the rest of your message as it is hard to read.

thanx for replying

I assume where most of them are located, on the transmission tailshaft housing.

Look on the driver side of the transmission.Towards the back/side,you'll see the sensor in the side with one bolt at the back holding it on and a harness going to it.Remove the bolt, and pull out the sensor. The gear is clipped on to the sensor. If the gear looks fine, you may need to replace the sensor.

The bolts were either 7/16 or a 10mm socket.I've had both on my cars.One bolt,one plug.That easy.

odometer not working?

just replaced speed sensor ,speedo works{buttstuffog} but odometer and trip meter not working, could it be wireing or the speedometer head? problem started after I had to pull the heads for blown head gasket, every thing went back together fine except for one wire next to throttle body, looks like some sensor wire, schematic shows its intake air temp sensor, yellow with white stripe,i dont think this would make the odometer stop working?
