Cougar finally dead

1984 - 2008

RIP :disappoin

I finally got around to pulling all the parts off the cat and the shell is going to the s yard due to the massive hail damage last year. I already found a replacement 1985 for $500 and it's in great shape!

Another option I am working on is getting a 2001 2 DOOR Subaru 2.5rs 5 Speed

Which has been my dream car since they first came out with them in the late 90's.

If that happens to be the case I will have all the parts required for a TBI to Carb conversion for sale including a $1000 custom exhaust.

I should know in a week or so.

Why would you crush the shell because of hail damage? I fix cars with hail damage, and we are booked for the next 6 months for hail repair. I'll take the shell if youre just gonna crush it for that reason. I want another Cougar.

Did you see the pics of that hail damage?

I remember he got a quote or 2 for repair.  The $500 for a different car altogether was a lot less IIRC.

exactly. My car literally looks like someone parked it out on a driving range and had then entire PGA go to town at it. Plus I already revived it from when I hit that deer years back. I have given the car too many chances.

Time for a change

Sounds good! Do you have any pics of the hail damage of the body other than what you posted?

yes, but truthfully it is very hard to take a picture that will do the true damage justice.

Should be getting about $300 in s for it. I really hate to do it but I have no other choice... BTW the dash cracked in 3 places after I got it up here in dry Colorado and the interior was not exactly perfect. As long as I don't see it getting crushed I should be just fine.

Let's see if I feel that way when I hand over the keys.... :disappoin
