I know, I know, the codes can be pulled using a paperclip and a multimeter, but it's so much easier to get a reader, especially at that price. I used to be in your position (throwing parts at problems) until I'd practically replaced every sensor I could get my hands on. If only I'd spent the 30 bucks on the reader, I could have saved buying a couple of things... Moral of the story - Get the codes and check back. Quote Selected
boost mileage on 84 5.0? Reply #16 – August 02, 2008, 11:09:10 PM Check the vacuum line to your MAP sensor. My car was running super-rich before CJ and it turned out the vacuum line was rotted. Had it changed out before going, and averaged 22MPG over the trip. Quote Selected
