Well, the cuz cannot get rid of the bird.  These cars just get into the blood and become a part of you.  Plus, he said "I didn't get this tatoo for nothing."  He has the 85 tbird logo on his right arm.  I may be getting one soon.....  But for now, no cheap bird for me... and no problem with where to hide it from the wife.  :)

Well now you just need to find another one that needs rescued. My wife started out not to keen on my hobby either but I must have broke her as now she doesnt say anything when another one shows up. Matter of fact one I missed out on last weekend her response was, oh well you'll just have to find another. I just know to leave one spot in the garage for her Jeep and all stays safe, which will bring your next situation, it gives you a perfect chance to bring up the dont you think we need another garage dear, conversation.  Of course since I live in the country and have a large garage I keep my dads toys in my garage as well so she isnt 100% sure which cars are his and which are mine, hell we have 15 so I dont know either. Another way to broach the subject is tell her its for her. I wanted a 70 Bird in a bad way and used the "but its the year you were born dear" statement and now it sits in my garage as well. So go find another and save it from a horrid demise and remember the more you have the less miles they will all end up with, I just had one of my 65's inspected for the year and it went a whole 78 miles last year.

LOL.  Well maybe I can start storing at your house.... :)    You've got a good approach... I'll have to do some testing on my wife.

No problem you can keep them here. My father and I are trying to get to a total of 50 Birds in our lives. We are at 35 or so now from a 57 thru 2004. We could sort of adopt any you want to leave .  Good luck with the wife.

Strangely, I am planning on buying back my old '84 5.0L T-Bird today from my stepson.

He was going to use it on a trade for a 2004 malibu and I just can't let that dealer get it. I used to race it and won some bracket races with it all the while getting 20 mpg roundtrip.

We gotta save these Birds from the crushers.

If it was traded in it would never be found again. They would sell it off to a little dealership that would throw 2000 on it and sell it to someone that would beat it to death then to the s yard after it died or was wrecked. its a sad story.

Are you kidding me, $50 bucks? I would kill for that, I'm sorry but I've been paying $200 a month to store my 88 XR-7...

I don't know about you, but if it means that much to you, it might be worth it to store it for $50 a month...

Well unless it was swapped out, an '84 TBird would NOT have an 8.8 rear.

well $100.00 is great price! the nose alone is worth that!
remember it easier to fix them, than to find them after they been crushed.
