Mom's 1983 Cougar Project

First off let me begin by saying that many of you may not remember me since I have been a very sporadic member of this community.  But, for those who do, you might remember me discussing getting some work done on my Mom's 83 Cougar.  Well, after looking into restoring her 83 Cadillac Eldorado or getting her a new car, it finally became obvious that working on her 83 Cougar would be the best thing to do.  So, with that said tomorrow her Cougar goes to the paint shop.  While I've been gone I ran into an ex student of mine who just happens to work at his Fathers paint and body shop.  After discussing paint for my Lincoln Mark 7, I decided to use his services on my Mom's beloved Cougar.  Though I am going about things in kind of a reverse order, that being engine, transmission, then worry about the body and paint.  I'm going to get the paint and body work done first since this body guy is offering me a sweet deal right now.  With that said, tomorrow her Cougar goes to the shop for body and paint.  Then my next step will be a complete engine rebuild and transmission overhaul.  Since her interior is solid, it should get her feeling pretty good about her old Cougar in addition with giving her a nice little ride to roll around town in.  Wish me luck guys for a smooth process of getting her Cougar looking nice!!!!!!!!!

Well, a little update on my Mom's car.  I should be getting the car back from the paint and body shop tomorrow.  I stopped by the shop and it was all primered and very straight.  I can't wait to see the finished product.  :burnout:
