just some pics Reply #5 – February 20, 2008, 10:33:40 PM The pics look great! An aftermarket pan is a good idea on a car which is expected to launch hard and see regular strip duty. It keeps the oil in the pan around the pickup. Insurance on a loss of oil pressure.I upgraded to a Canton deep sump, when I put the 347 in the Mustang. I just received a Canton Road Race pan for the "new" engine project on the T-bird. If you pick one up, Canton makes few variations to work around things like a main girdle or windage tray. Prices on new Canton pans on E-bay seems to be the best (about $250 for a complete package w/pickup, dip stick and Pan, shipped). There are some knock offs on there too for considerably less (but who knows on that stuff..). I know...., the out flow of $ never seems to end. Quote Selected
