So I need some advice!

Ok I found out this morning that my old mustang is for sale, she called me last night to give me the news. I realy love this car, and miss it badly. But here is the part that is making it hard on me. The thing is in pretty ruff shape now: busted out tail lights, torn top, blown tranny, and pealing clear coat. I built this car with my own blood swet and tears, I put my heart and sole in it. and it kills me to see it go out like this. She wants more than the car is worth, but not too much that I wont consider it. so what should I do?

So I need some advice!

Well, When you sold it, did you give her a deal?  If so, ask for the same back.  And like others have said to me, give her what you think it's worth, explain to her why it's worth x amount, and leave it at that.  There are always more to be had.  My friend got one for $1500 that looks to be in about the same shape, so there are always more out there.

I'd say buy it back but I wouldn't pay any more than what you sold it for. Especially if it's in worse condition now then when you sold it.

If it's in sad shape and she wants a mint for it, make her that offer. If she doesn't accept it, the car will probably sit with a for sale sign on it. After about a month of sitting, which it will do given poor condition and a high asking price, she just may come back and take your offer.

I traided it for my tc, there was no cash involved. She wants $1000 to $1500 for it. It sucks desiding if I want to buy the car I built!

Ah, didn't know that.

Well in that case, walk up to her with $500 cash and a couple cheap pairs of Wally World shoes :hick:
