Need spec help

OK guys & gals, I need some info.
I may have found a candidate to replace my 87 Sport that got crushed by the tree. Mine was black with light gray interior.
I found a black/gray 87 about 2 hours from me. This car has the V-6, so it will have the column shifter and consolette, correct?
What is the fix for a cracked dash?
He will be sending pics tomorrow of the car and interior so I have a better idea.
It has NO sunroof, woohoo!
I think I will make sure it is a good DD for a while, and keep looking for another car or body.
I will either swap in a V-8 later on if I locate a body/only for my project T-Bird, or if I find a nice Sport in next year or two this one will get turned into the Nascar project.
Thanks for the info,
Dave

The floor shifter and full console were optional in V6 cars, but rare (especially the shifter). Chances are you'll get column shift and consolette.

The fix for the cracked dash is one of two choices: Replace the dash (what I'm doing) or install a "dash cap" (Eric has a writeup about it on Coolcats)

I may be interested in the light grey sail panels and rear deck cover (and speaker covers) if you ever plan on parting out.  I have a light grey interior for a cougar, but my car is a tbird.  Just thought i'd ask.

I got an email, the car was sold while the guy was at work today. He was supposed to send me pics of the car and interior tonight when he got home, and directions so I could come look at the car.
Oh well, the search continues.....:punchballs:
