Pics of my 3G Alternator Install August 19, 2007, 10:37:59 PM This week my nice new battery terminals showed up, along with my heavy-duty ring terminals, etc. I used 4 gauge amp wire for a replacement, even replaced the short wire going to the starter solenoid. Of course, I had to use red amp wire for the positive side. I haven't replaced the negative side wires yet, but will. I think it turned out really nice and clean. FYI, there is some extra length going to the alternator so I can put my fuse holder inline.http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y278/Inspiribomb/Thunderbird/101_PANA-P1010462_P1010462.jpghttp://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y278/Inspiribomb/Thunderbird/101_PANA-P1010468_P1010468.jpghttp://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y278/Inspiribomb/Thunderbird/101_PANA-P1010467_P1010467.jpg Quote Selected

Pics of my 3G Alternator Install Reply #6 – August 20, 2007, 09:25:15 AM I got it from a local performance shop (basically a Summit Racing in store form). The brand is Tuff Stuff, model number is 7331 (IIRC), its the 150 amp 3G alternator. Mine is actually chrome plated, and even though I much prefer the look of polished aluminum, I do really like how the alternator looks. Runs much cooler too. Quote Selected
