k member

when would you need a aftermarket k member? or what would lead to needing one? im thinking of getting one when i do my springs this month, but im not sure. what are the major bennifits? i want one to stiff'n up the chassis, strengthin the front ctrl. arm mounting points, and light'n up the front.

I have one because I needed the mustang motor mounts and wanted a k-member that I knew would be strong enough. It also cleans up the engine compartment and gives you more clearance wile lightening the front end something like 50+ lbs I think.

It definatly stiffened up my front end but I dont think I would like my car that stiff in the front for a daily driver, it gave the car some crazy steering! It feels like having solid motor mounts. Also as you know Im haveing some ride height issues that could be because of the k-member spacer that I needed or even from all of the weight I took off the front so Im still in the prosses of figureing that out. I have some Intrax 2 inch drop springs that Ill be putting on tonight or tomorrow so I suggest doing one mod at a time so your not returning any springs if you end up with my problems! :brick:

Hope that helps :)
