! Clutch master cylinder failed! July 02, 2007, 03:11:40 PM Well Layla decided that at 179,030 miles to finally let go of the original clutch master cylinder. I'm stranded until I replace it! Here's to hoping NAPA has one...How long should I expect this to take? Quote Selected

! Clutch master cylinder failed! Reply #4 – July 03, 2007, 12:26:01 AM QuoteIt sucks to have 2 or more cars with tags and insurance and nothing to driveYes, I've been almost there myself. It's why I have at least one newer vehicle around. Good thing I had 4 when I was down to three the last time something like that happened to me.Think it's a good time to buy that F150 Aerobird? When I traded the Mach1 in, I was originaly looking at an 04' "YELLOW" 4x4 FX Supercab w/4.6 v-8. I've never owned a full size truck before, and now wish I would have bought instead, especialy for the color and 4x4. But, it was too hard to pass up the mach1 being paid off, and owning an 06' XLT supercab 5.4 v-8 w/tow package and not 1 mile on the odometer, and 0% financing for 6 years. It cost me almost $10.00 less a month, and a full 3 year warranty that will expire before the miles are up. I'm 10 minutes from work now. :D oh, and premium radio w/sirrius for 6 months was nice to boot. Quote Selected

! Clutch master cylinder failed! Reply #6 – July 03, 2007, 03:09:14 AM Here's a feeeew details I like it. I've had it for over 9 months now, and I have no complaints to speak of, except personal stuff, like......it's BIG, really BIG for a 4x2 anyway. It actualy sits very high, higher than most 4x4's. I may lower it in the future, but not too low. Girlfreind is not extremely fond of climbing in, I need to add a step to it. Plenty of room for my needs. the rear suicide doors are very handy indeed. An adualt can sit comfortably in the back seating area. It seems to have plenty of power for a truck (member I traded in an 04' Mach1 on it, and it's my daily driver). My favorite part is.......the radio :D , and even more importantly, my sweetheart can practicly sit in my lap once you move the console up and out of the way, ;) . Seriously, it's a nice truck, and rides well, but I have no idea on comparing it to anything since I've never owned a full size truck before. I have the limited slip 3.55 w/tow package and have no issues pulling a cougar on a trailer. One of the nice features about these newer trucks is that the rear side windows, on my XLT anyway, is that they are power windows. Rear windows are tinted. It came with floor mats and a set of rubber mats Front and back (helps keep it a bit cleaner). 4 wheels discs w/ABS is a nice plus. 27 gallon tank. Doors have allot of extra room for a few things. Plenty of cupholders, not used often but nice to have em' there, and even in the front doors. The ride is nice with the street tires that came on it, but it is a truck, so it does not ride like my 88' XR7, but for a truck it's nice. I'm very particular on a vehicles ride. Actualy I'm particular about allot of things as well, but that's for another thread. Hooking it up to a trailer is pretty simple of course, and I seem to have an easy time adjusting to using the tow package. The electronic hook up is there as well. Anything else you would like to know, ask away. Quote Selected
! Clutch master cylinder failed! Reply #7 – July 03, 2007, 04:32:40 AM Any reliability issues? Recalls? TSB's? I read that the 3V 5.4's don't suffer from the spark-plug blow-out, is that true? How's the interior wearing, especially the driver's seat? What's your actual fuel mileage? Run OK on 87 gas from the quik-e-mart? Are you comfortable? Back pain after long (250+ mile) drives? ! Clutch master cylinder failed! Reply #10 – July 04, 2007, 01:25:57 PM No issues. Truck is very nice. Seating took me a bit to get use to and find a spot I was comfy with. I do have to step up into it, since I'm only 5'9". If i was weasle, I would need a ladder though. hehe. hope he sees this. Quote Selected
