The Blue Beast is Back! Reply #15 – May 21, 2007, 07:27:44 AM The stock rims will stay for now. I've been busy concentrating on cleaning it back up after it sat out in the rain for a few hours and I had to drive it home. I found an overspray spot on the bottom of the driver side rocker panel. They had to blend the fenders, but ! It took me two hours to get it out with some good polish, my buffer, and a claybar with spray wax! It was on there pretty good. All that's left is the passenger side sill panel inside the door and I'm done. I pluncked down $19 on a fuse box cover because mine had a scratch on it that I put there from the supercharger install. The scratch was too deep to fix and was unsightly. Quote Selected

The Blue Beast is Back! Reply #18 – May 21, 2007, 03:46:08 PM Body shops can leave a mess. I had the fender on my new car resprayed and they left overspray on my front bumper and scratches/swirls on my hood. It did take a lot of work to take out.Your car looks awesome as it sits. Are you going to take the Mustang in Carlisle again this year? Quote Selected

The Blue Beast is Back! Reply #20 – May 21, 2007, 05:24:03 PM I use Mother's brand clay bar. It comes with Showtime California Gold spray wax (also a Mother's product). As far as spray waxes go, the California Gold is the one of the best ones I've ever used. Almost all others either:a) leave a filmy residue or;b) don't clean water spots and such as wellAs far as wax I've recently started using No.7 brand clearcoat polish followed up by Turtlewax Color Magic. I've been using the color magic stuff for a long time. My buffer is simply my 18 volt Milwaukee cordless drill with a 6 inch diameter buffer attachment. Best drill I've ever owned. 6 years old, been dropped a few times from 15 feet plus and still working like new and has no visible signs of being dropped either. All cloths used are microfiber. No substitutes!ANother good wax/polish company is Adam's Polishes. The web site is here: http://www.adamspolishes.com/The products are a little pricey, but top quality and they give results. The downside is having to order them online as no one I know of by me carries them. The owner lives right in Carlisle, PA and is at every auto show at the fairgrounds. Quote Selected
The Blue Beast is Back! Reply #21 – May 21, 2007, 08:40:49 PM That's all some good stuff. Ever hear of Tropi-Care? That's who I've been using for ~2 years now. Very, very high quality and very affordable. I don't use all of their stuff, but their polishes and waxes can't be beat.I still use good ole Mother's for mags (though the Powerball is a marketing gimmick POS) and Meguire's for plastics and leather.
