20 psi...

I would like to run 20 psi on my 88 turbo coupe:hick: . I have the gillis valve, cone filter, and exhaust. Just to make sure, to run 20 psi I will need the walbro 255 fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, boost gauge, and fuel pressure gauge. Anything else? Im having a fuel leak up front, I'm thinking the injectors. Would it be best to go ahead and get bigger injectors? Which ones.
Any tips?

fix the fuel leak and Grab a wideband o2 sensor setup if nothing else is modified the stock injectors should be A-ok in your application.

If youre still running the IHI youll be pushing it really hard, you might want to keep it to the "known" safe limit of 18 psi.

Why do you want 20psi?  just to brag to your friends at the local hang out, or are you looking for more power?  You do realize that a high boost number doesnt mean high horsepower right?  "boost" is actually a measurement of a restiction.  Open up the intake and exhaust routes to move more air more effieciently, rather then triing to cram more boost in it.  You will actually make more power with LESS boost that way, plus your motor will last longer too.

Once you hit a certain point, you are no longer making power and are just heating up the air, and actually making LESS power.  not a worthy trade off for bragging rights if you ask me.

The IHI is most efficient, makes the most power, and ET's the best at 17-18 psi. 20psi will go slower and have less power.

So for 17-18 psi, fix the leak, and just get a 255 then I'll be set?

wld hemi, 20 psi wasn't just for show, I thought I heard 20 psi was a good number for these, guess I read wrong. But what you said makes sense.
Im glad I'm finally getting straight up answers, everywhere else I asked I couldn't get a straight forward reply.
