My buddy works at Jacksons Auto Machine, he put a 383 stroker, AFR heads, RPM II intake, worked holley 650DP, and a custom isky cam on the dyno. They broke it in on dyno oil, and made a few dyno pulls. They then drained the oil, and put in Royal Purple in it, what did they pick up? 7 horsepower. 7 horsepower on a race prepped engine, so i dont know how the hell you picked up 3 tenths.

By the way, that 383 stroker goes 11.60's in a street car on drag radials

Wear. A 135K mile engine has wear. Especially on the bearings. RP micropolishes those for less friction. Anything that will pick up 7HP on a fully built all-out best of everything motor will absolutely love a stock motor. And as far as how I tested it, I ran the truck for 4,000 miles on Valvoline Synthetic. Averaged my MPG and went drag racing on a Friday night (ran 18.90's). The next day I changed the oil and did no other changes. Went drag racing at the same track (near identical weather) and went 18.60's. 4,000 miles later I reversed it, the RP was 4,000 miles old and the truck still went 18.60's. I dumped the RP, used some Valvoline again and went down to 18.80's the next night. Sunday I changed back to RP and have had nothing else since.

Don't be in a hurry.Take your time. You're not on a scedule to have it done.Just save your money,do what you need to do to get it done right. The some of you guys are having a hard time is because everytime you get $10.00 you're trying to spend it on something.Save it until you have a couple hundred dollars then you can get what you really need.Patience really pays off. While you save money, that's when you spend your time doing the free stuff, like cleaning, detailing, and figuring out the plan for the car, listing what you need, and learning what you don't know about your car.

Well i still need door panels, front valence, trim peices, the trim mounts from a mark 7 so. The list grows with each day. Ill have to look for a t bird or cougar then for the gas line should be easier to find. Nice to know its gonna be the same!
