My door troubles

I have a 1983 T-Bird I am trying to get around to restoring. It is grey with grey velour interior and 3.8 V-6. 85,000 miles. My biggest problem is trying to figure out what do with my doors. They are very rusted out on the bottoms. I (living in Ohio) am having a difficult time finding decent doors. Is there a way my doors can be fixed without replacing them? By the way, this is my first attempt at seriously fixing something up, lol.  :birdsmily:

Pix would help us. But generally, if the inner frame section is still in good shape, it can be fixed using a general door patch panel. Body shops use those all the time...a body shop supply store will have them. Very cheap, usually under $30 each. The best way to patch it is to remove your molding, cut out the bad section, and weld the panels in. The molding will cover the patch-to-door seam. Primer, paint, reattach the molding, good as new. If you're not comfy with that idea then I'd suggest getting some estimates at body shops. For them it's not a difficult job at all. Finding a shop that works on older cars, however, is becoming a bit tougher these days.
