What to do with these EEC codes?!?!?!? January 29, 2007, 11:26:48 PM I ran the codes tonight and KOEO gave me 22 and 23. I have checked my vacuum lines pretty well and can't finds leaks so my MAP could very well be shot. The problem with my TPS reading could come from what I recently discovered. The backplate that touches the idle screw is held by a spring. My spring is broken. I can't figure how to get it back on just yet, but I imagine thats part of my problem. I don't have a voltmeter (but will buy one soon) so that I can do more testing. The plate that should be held by the spring just flaps around and the plunger looking thing just sits there as there is no tension on it at all. My CM codes ran 14, 18, 22, and 41. Not sure of what to make of these just yet. I will do a KOER in the morning. What do you think? Quote Selected

Since the 23 shows during KOEO when there is no vacuum it's a good chance the MAP is bad. If the broke spring allows the throttle plate shaft to move it could cause the 22.Quote My CM codes ran 14, 18, 22, and 41. Not sure of what to make of these just yet. I will do a KOER in the morning. What do you think? The CM codes 14&18 indicate a ignition problem.14--Indicates two successive erratic profile ignition pick-up (PIP) pulses occured.18--Loss of signal from coil negative. These codes indicate a PIP and/or TFI problem.41-- Oxygen sensor is not switching. Lean indication.Reset your CM codes (disconnect the jumper while the CM codes are displaying) just incase they have been there a long time.Drive the car around and see if they reoccur. Quote Selected
