sn95 mustang exhaust

i got a friend who can get ahold of a mustang exhuast for pretty cheap for me,  i kno theres a bunch of threads on fox exhausts...but heres the catch, its off of a 2000 mustang 4.6 (5 speed if that makes a difference). what sort of things would be needed to get this to work? would it even be worth my time? or are they too much different to be worthwhile? i think it would be too much work, but seein's how its so cheap, i'd figure i'd ask.

You'd be better off just using Fox parts. They are really cheap. The Mustang guys nearly give that stuff away.Junk to them, upgrades to us.Sad but true.

I've used SN-95 tail pipes before....but in this instance the whole thing really wouldn't be too much use for you.

If you don't pick it up and he can chop the last couple feet off the tail pipes, I'd be interested in that part of it.

An SN95 catback will work, but youd have to use SN95 hangers, or have fox hangers welded to the catback.
It's Gumby's fault.

On a 98+ yes....
On a 94-97 the hangers are in the "correct" spot

I've taken a 97 Cobra driver side cat back and droped it right into place on an 85 Tbird.  Lengthened both ends accordingly.  The hangers were perfect.

On the '00 tail pipes, the rear hanger is at the bumper instead of the "normal" location on the Tbird pipes.

I used to have '00 GT tailpipes on my old '90 LX (2.3L), I had to cut the hangers on the ends of the tailpipes down shorter but otherwise I got them to fit pretty well (using universal hangers)

If you're talking about a factory exhaust he can get you, though, that wouldn't do you much good. The pipe is supposed to be 2 1/4" but through the bends it's no bigger than 2".
