This should be lots of funIts junk, dont buy it.Thats made by SSautochrome, those turbos are known to literally fall apart. The compressor housing is a two piece cast, because a single cast would bring costs up. The two pieces are expoxied together, yes, EXPOXIED. Not to mention that the bearings in them flake and chip apart. Some people have had success, but not enough to make me feel comfortable buying them. The headers get mixed reviews, the ones for the 2.3L turbo cars are known to crack, and one dude had the collector break where the wastegate mounts. It didnt break at the weld, it broke the collector.Stay as far away from anything that resembles SSautochrome, if it falls apart, youll never get ahold of the company, and youll never get your money back. Does anyone make log style turbo manifolds? Reply #8 – January 01, 2007, 12:21:59 PM Yeah....my general rule of thumb for ebay turbo stuff is, "if it seems too cheap to be true, it's junk." Ebay is flooded with those Chinese hybrids and stuff now so you have to be careful of what you buy. There are some good deals though, I just recently got a used Turbonetics T3/T04E hybrid in pretty nice shape for $460.Anyway, you can either try to find some turbo headers/manifolds and do a junkyard setup, or you can buy one of the kits that's available out there (the good ones)How bout this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Twin-T66-Garret-Turbo-kit-Q-Trim-81-Mustang-PRO-Street_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ107063QQihZ017QQitemZ270073753984QQrdZ1Ok that may be a little overkill... Does anyone make log style turbo manifolds? Reply #9 – January 01, 2007, 04:27:18 PM Appreciate the heads up. I looked at the ebay kit and it did look kinda cheap so i've been on turbo mustangs doing some research. Pony down performance has some nice items and i'm actually thinking about going with there header and downpipe kit but we'll see. A 347 with a KB kit is sounding a lot easier. Quote Selected
