Cruise control doesn't

'94 T-Bird LX, 4.6
I was driving down the interstate with the cruise on, and it just gave out.  Can't figure out why.  I checked the fuses, vacuum lines, even took the fender apart and checked the connections to the cruise module.  I'm hoping that it's the vacuum switch on the brake pedal gone bad.  If that where can I get a new one?  If not that, I think it's the cruise control module gone bad?  Where can I get one, and how expensive would that be?  Anybody?  Thanks.

One common problem with the cruise control on fords is the plate between the steering wheel and the column.  I would check to see if my power and ground inputs at the module are ok first, and then check to see if I had voltage (at the module) coming from the different switches on the steering wheel.  If no then I would suspect that plate.  If you want to test the vac switch, just disconnect the line from it and put a small bolt in the end of the tube to plug it.  If it works after that then the switch is bad.
