E Brake Lever November 03, 2006, 09:29:58 PM Is is possable to convert out cars from a pedel E brake to the Pull handle kinds like in the fox Stang's? I'm sure this has been asked before but it just kinda came to me as I was standing around work today because I had to train a new co-worker how to bus tables. How much work would be involved and would it be worth that effort in the long run? Quote Selected
E Brake Lever Reply #1 – November 03, 2006, 09:35:05 PM Mike, anything can be done if your willing to put the time and thought into doing it. I know you would need to relocate or even replace your e-brake cable and mount the handle. Quote Selected
E Brake Lever Reply #2 – November 03, 2006, 09:39:07 PM Well, I'm looking at an 86 LX stang down the street from me rotting away. I can take everything I *need* from that car. The question is how much tinkering around will I have to do to get it to work. Has anyone else tried this or even thought about it? Quote Selected

E Brake Lever Reply #5 – November 04, 2006, 06:41:11 PM Can't be nearly as much fabrication as a 5 speed swap. My guess is the hardest part would be figuring out where to cut into the tunnel to install the handle. Quote Selected

E Brake Lever Reply #7 – November 05, 2006, 09:17:03 AM I'll keep looking for the part and try to figure out what to do. Quote Selected
E Brake Lever Reply #8 – November 05, 2006, 03:29:17 PM Geez, I had to use google to track this one down.http://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?t=6092Nate tried the Fox Stang (87-93) console idea and he said it didn't look right so I think he's going to try the SC next. I may just delete it altogether. Quote Selected
