You need a A/C - fuel line tool to disconnect the lines

dissconnect them up top with a fuel line tool. you can get them cheap as hell at like autozone. even get an entire set of the plastic ones for like 10bux. it just slides in one side and you pull the 2 lines appart.

Most Ford and Chrysler LH series vehicles are equipped with spring lock couplings on fuel and air conditioning lines. Necessary tool releases locking mechanism on all 4 sizes: A (3/4"), B (5/8"), C (1/2") and D (3/8"). Caution: For intended use only. Do not use with engine running. Release system pressure before disconnecting coupling.

$13.25

          Maybe this will help

I am having the problem with the 88 fuel lines myself they claim that the tools are for 90 and up.. I think I need the 1/2 tool because of the built up tube that goes into the connector

Yeah, I found a cheapa_ _ set at advance. ($15) plastic, crude,..but eventually effective. Thanx guys didn't want to scratch my somehow still SHINY fuel lines. I'm followin' a tech post about the H.O. conversion. Other posts & questions sure to follow!
