3.8 to 5.0 swap

I have an 88 ls that has a blown 3.8, and i have a 5.0 from an 88 crown vic (i think) ive never done an engine swap in a car so,

will the auto tranny in my ls mate wtth the 5.0 or does the bell housing unbolt like in my jeep or will i need a new tranny.

i have all the wireing and computer for the engine can i use that or do i need a cougar computer

The 5.0 and 3.8 use the same tranny bolt pattern... BUT you'll need the wiring, throttle cable, exaust pipe, motor mounts and about a dozen other things to do the swap...
