hey I have a complete 5.0 with 50,000 miles and new gaskets throughout. I paid 500 and then put the new gaskets in. I'll let it go for for 450. Located in western pa.

just out of curiosity, why not a 5.0 up to 95? They are all the same arent they.....?

cause it said on cool cats something about teh pistons being changed form how they really were and instead of pushing 225 hp it was pushing 205-215

guys i really want a nice running ho motor or something modded that is quick i dont wanna use a 5.0 so anyone have something

Beacause they had a shorter intake to clear the hoods on the newer 'Stangs....also..they were advertised to make a little less power...but if one was to put on a pre-'94 intake..it'd make no difference...the hyper pistons were only used in '93...or so i read. Will look up more on it, and edit this if necessary.
I've also read that FoMoCo changed the ways they measured power/torque...and there's no difference in hp/torque of a '94 vs. and '89.

TBirdEra-I priced salvage yard 5.0HO engines...found it would be easier and cheaper to build my SO engine into an HO..
parts are readily from ebay, as well as here, good luck!

so you think it would be better to just change the parts off the so and take ho parts and put it on??
