I hate misleading ebay auctions! June 23, 2006, 10:26:40 PM For some reason I never seem to have enough flat washers around (although I have tons of lock washers), so I was trying to find a flat washer assortment on ebay. I find this auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4651466131&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT , and think sweet, that's a great deal. So I do buy it now, get them today, and what do I find? No, not lock washers and flat washers. Instead it's lock washers, and internal & external "star" lock washers. Dammit So now I gotta send it back and get my money back. On a side note, can you believe that NOBODY sells an assortment of regular old washers on ebay. There's lock washers, copper crush washers, chrome washers, stainless AN washers, and O-rings, but no flat washers. :disappoin Quote Selected

I hate misleading ebay auctions! Reply #4 – June 24, 2006, 10:04:59 AM Why are you getting fasteners on ebay? Save yourself a headache and support your local hardware store. Quote Selected
I hate misleading ebay auctions! Reply #5 – June 24, 2006, 10:41:02 PM Well, I guess I can't complain too much, the guy refunded my money and then some and told me to just keep the washers. So that's pretty cool :)As far as supporting my local hardware store, #1 we don't really have any, #2 I've never seen a "washer assortment" at a hardware store or maybe I didn't look hard enough.I ended up just buying washers from mcmaster-carr. I hate misleading ebay auctions! Reply #7 – June 24, 2006, 11:23:11 PM Well normally I would go to lowe's, but paying $1 for 4 washers is kinda rediculous considering how many I seem to use. So I bought a pound of them from mcmaster for $3.50. Quote Selected
