It's Alive!! Not Dead!!

I finally had time to look over the Cougar today. I checked all the vitals and found a couple plug wires worked their way loose. Oil looked fine, a little burned though. Anyways, I put the key in and she fired right up so I moved her around in the driveway. No weird noises or anything.

I still haven't a clue as to why I had my problems. Maybe the initial blow was because of the weak hose and since everything under the hood got coated in antifreeze, something got fowled. Possibly the 95* temps with high humidity had something to do with it. I'll look into it more over the next few days. But it's alive!!! Wohooo!!!

Yeah, having a couple plug wires loose and the thing only running on 6 holes will make it run like it's in its death throes...

Look her over and spend some time tooling around this weekend.  Hopefully all is well.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
