Fuel Pump Relay Part numbers May 11, 2006, 08:49:42 PM Ok, I don't really like starting a new thread over a part that has been discussed so many times but after searching through all the "fuel pump relay" posts and "ignition switch" posts, I have not been able to find differences, if any, between fuel pump relay part numbers.I couldn't find the little symbol in the electrical charts of Chiltons either.A 1985 Base V6 Cougar has this fuel pump relay:E3EB 9345 B2AA 1987 LS V6 Cougar has this fuel pump relay:E6EB 9345 A2ADo these relays only differ by part number for some reason or do they have different electrical properties as well (which would justify the part number change)? Fuel Pump Relay Part numbers Reply #1 – May 13, 2006, 07:00:58 AM Lots of time the part number just changes for no reason at all. I say see if you can find a diagram of each of those realys. Then you'll know what the difference is. I can't that of what it would be other than it would take more or less current to flip the switch Quote Selected
