Question on wires under the driver seat? April 13, 2006, 11:30:13 PM Under my seat in my car I have the normal connectors. Pwr seat, pwr lumbar and the connector for the seat belt. I've seen these on a number of cars but today I found something different. A car at the junkyard had an additional connector. Identical in size and shape to the seatbelt connector but it went under the seat. I forgot to see what it actually went too as I was running out of time at the yard. Anyone know? Oh this car was a full option car with a full digi dash. Maybe its something to do with that, but the seats where the standard pwr lumbar, adjustable bolster and pull out front that came in the tc's, not memory or heated seats. It was a Elan edition. Looks like we will have to do some more scrounging at the junkyard. Quote Selected
Question on wires under the driver seat? Reply #3 – April 15, 2006, 06:28:44 PM QuoteBingo, I didn't know that was something that they had. When I got mine it had been disabled. I found out it had it by reading the owners manual. I punched in a code in the keyless entry pad and vola they work. It locks when you cycle the shifter through Park to Drive and there is at least a 50lb weight in the front seat. You know I've never checked the seat to see what the heck triggers it though. It might be some sort of weight sensative switch. Now I want to take the seat out just to see what it is.... Quote Selected
