Talk about a scare

Well, as I'm sure some of you read in a previous post of mine, I have a genetic disorder known as Cystic Fibrosis, which affects my respiritory, digestive, and immune systems.  Just a little over a month ago, I was living a good life, nothing wrong, then all of a sudden I wake up one morning and can barely breathe or move.  Had a friend rush me to the ER, and after some extensive blood work and other various tests, come to find out that I had developed a staph infection in my lungs, I was literally only hours away from death (which would have sucked), so after a month straight of sucking on oxygen and getting intravenous antibiotics, come to find out that the drugs the doctors put me on were causing my kidneys to fail, YEA, good news there (sarcasm is obvious).  The good news is that I'm doin A LOT better, but the bad news is that my kidneys are functioning at only half capacity, I had to get a full blood transfusion, and I have to alter my diet severly, which being only 130 lbs. as is means I'm gonna lose a bit of weight.  On a lighter note, I think I'm finally making headway on getting my car going, but am not going to have the money to make it to CJ this year unless I take a bus or fly out and rent a car, which I'm seriously contemplating.  Anyways, sorry for the long post, but I just thought I'd share this with everyone here in the long shot chance anyone was wondering where I went.

LOL, yea not for a minimum of 3-6 months, time for the kidneys to heal, which sucks because once I can start drinking again I'm going to be such a cheap drunk.  OH WAIT, where's the problem in that!!  LOL.
