4 stroke riding mower problems

Quick question:
pretty sure it is the rings but...

a friend is getting gas in his oil pretty bad on his 4 stroke carburated Briggs and Staton riding mower. he has to change the oil ever time he mows. I would think bad rings, but if anyone else has any guesses he would like to try and fix this. Thanks! :hick:
