what would be the best heads to run on a 306 with 11.5:1 pistons?

i'm considering sending my heads out to get machined for bigger valves and a 3 angle valve job.. and port them myself

Since when? I was under the assumption that most aftermarket aluminum heads for 302's (TFS, Holley, Edelbrock) had 2.02/1.60 valves?

I like my 2.02 T/Fs just fine... I'm gonna reuse them on a 347 one of these days(If I don't get a set of AFRs... maybe, maybe)... I figure what I got for the Windsor Jr's, and selling the T/Fs would pay for a set with a little left over.

The 1.90 valve heads usually give a little more bottom end on a 302, but with a 5 speed, I'd definatly go with the bigger valves... Especially IF you think a larger engine may be in the future.

Keep me in mind should you decide to sell those TW heads, Tom - eventually I hope to build up my engine. This year the car gets treated to suspension and body, next year (hopefully over the winter, now that I've got a garage) the engine/tranny :D
