For Sale: 86 Cougar XR-7 5-speed vent windows & leather

86 Cougar XR-7 5-speed vent windows & leather
Color: Medium Regatta Blue / Dark Charcoal
Mileage: 135K
Location: Westminster, Maryland 21157
Price: $1400

Options:
-manual climate control with A.C. (A.C. no workie)
-rear window defroster
-cruise control
-leather seating surfaces
-tilt steering
-Vent windows
-power door locks (no workie)
-power decklid release
-the original, what I think was the base, radio was replaced sometime in it's past
Condition: Seems to have never been wrecked. The faded blue paint is evenly faded all the way around and appears to be the original "medium regatta blue." The previous owner replaced the hood because something fell on it I think hence the darker hood color. There was also a bra on the car hence the slightly darker shade up front. Up close, you can actually see the 'tan line' from the bra.
There are a couple of dents, nothing major. There is rust starting along the bottom edge of the driver door skin.
The outside wipe strips for the power windows are dried up and cracked.
All four fuel injectors, the O2 sensor, starter, alternator, and battery have all been replaced within the past year.
I can hear the turbo spool up, the boost needle moves, and it feels like it works so the turbo seems to work ok. I've never owned a turbo car other than this so I don't know what they should feel like.
The dash has no major, easily visible cracks. Pictures at my web site for your own judgement.
The front leather seats are dry and the rear are in better shape than the front. Pics at web site.
The tires on the 10-holes are shot so I am keeping the 10-holes but putting a set of LS wheels on with four practically brand new matching tires.
This vehicle is titled in my name in Maryland but it is not tagged. Transportation of the vehicle would have to be figured out.

Also, do you know what kind of mileage it gets?

Roger wants a different car and I'm just kind of browsing to see what I can find for him, because I know he'd love another Cat..... but, mpg is really important too.

I've driven it, but not enough to tell what kind of gas mileage it gets. :dunno:

Karen, My XR-7 made it down to Catjam in 1/4 tank last year. I'd say there is a definite improvement over the v6 cougars as long as you drive it within reason and don't let the turbo spool too much.
