Could this cause a problem?

When I put my new engine in, I put on a polyurethane transmission mount (Mustang-style) and put poly bushings in my crossmember, but I still have the stock motor mounts since I couldn't afford a set of chuck's mounts at the time. I know I've heard that something like that COULD crack the bellhousing or something like that, but how likely is it to really happen? The factory engine mounts don't really seem to allow that much engine movement.

My mounts are brand new and with my cambeing as grumpy as it is at idle she moves around a good bit more than she did before.....I'm picking some up from Chuck next week and when these ones go Chuck's will go in.

I doubt you will have an issue

this usually happens when you combine solid trans mounts with solid motor mounts.

Alright. I have heard about solid tranny mounts being a no-no, but I was watching Xtreme 4x4 on sunday and they made a transmission crossmember with poly bushings in it...and said not to use it with factory motor mounts because it could crack your bellhousing. My transmission still seems to have enough freedom of movement because my shifter still moves around while driving, just nowhere near as bad as it did with all the rubber mounts under there.
