what transmission??? sorry.....

what transmission do i have in the 84 stang. t-5or t-45 i know it feels alot diffrent then my uncles 88 tc. o yea its a 5 speed. i want to get a short throw :hick: thanks. sorry, i should have put this in drivetrain. and i dont know how to delete it:nono:  shame on me

should be a t-5.

unless it is an old SROD (single rail overdrive) but they were 4 speeds

Well it is different.  The 84 is a non-WC unit and the gearing is different.  Also, the shifters might have a bit to do with it if either one is not a stock unit.

What do you mean it "feels" different?

If it's the shifter you're talking about, I heard that '87-88 TC's had a better shifter from the factory than the Mustangs did.

yea,feels has if i dont have to go as far to hit a gear(when i drove the 88 tc)  . so i want to get a short throw to better the "feel"
