you know you can gasket port match them on the intake and exhuast side yourself. i used my dremal tool and a carbine bit from a shipyard. just put the gasket on the head using bolts to hold exactly where the gasket goes.. then mark with a scribe or a blue marker or spray paint the opening at the ports. then remove the gasket and start porting.. if they are stock ford heads..grind down that stupid emission bump on the exhuast ports..

they are world winsor jr heads, which is prolly the reason why he doesn't want to do it himself.

Probably $250-350 to do bowl work under the valves, transition that to the exhaust and intake ports, and slightly open the intake and exhaust ports. If the heads already have a good 3 or 5 angle valve job, nice valves and hardware, I'd say spend the bucks. If they dont, I'd say save the money and run em as is until you can get aluminum heads and sell the others.  Not many guys like porting cast iron anymore, everyones spoiled with aluminum. I know I dont miss porting iron heads that much anymore. Also, I polish the chambers on every head I port to get rid of any nasty slag from the top valve seat cut to the chamber. Most places dont but its not something to skip. Good luck.
