Veterans? Reply #15 – November 12, 2005, 09:42:59 AM Had a couple of uncles in Korea and my dad got in on the end of WWII. While I got a medical deferment for my right ear, so they never called me. I did have a good HS freind(who they promised OCS then told him he was too young), wind up as a door gunner in Vietnam. Luckly he came back in one piece(alive) even after having been shot down. The chopper made it out of enemy territory before it lost power and went down...Also have a brother-in-law who served a tour in Nam...Thanks Guys.... Quote Selected

His tone and attitude were less than desireable (guess that's why I was there....) His friends who were with him were attempting to quiet him down and get him out the door unsuccessfully. After giving him his options he left with his friends. I know at my old duty station he would not have even been told the options by security forces. It's nice to know thousands who served honorably can be blemished by one who does not think about his actions:mad: Quote Selected
