replaced rear shocks...plus sway bar ?

holy hell, it rides soooo much better now. the stock shocks (maybe stock, i dunno, they were Monroe Gas-Matics) were shot, especially the driver rear. I could lift up on the wheelwell and the car would stay up, when I took that shock out, it was kinda bent, and wouldn't extend. the other one I don't think was bad, but I replaced them with some Monroe SensaTracs I got from ebay (20 bucks baby), brand new, "stock replacements". definitely improved the ride  :ies:

now about the sway bar...my front sway bar's rubber bushing on the driver side disintegrated almost a year ago because the PS pump was leaking, so every time I go over a bump in the road it rattles around. what bushings would I get, since I can't seem to find ones specific for my car (88 Tbird 5.0)? Wouldn't a Mustang one bolt up fine? and isn't the TC sway bar the same? what bushings and stuff would I need? (as in summit part #s)
also, whats the best way to get the bar out, since the stupid plastic thing on top breaks?

The sway bar is the same, but the mounting is different.  Measure the dia of the bar to determine what size you need....then get the poly bushings to match..easy enough.

Those plastic nut retainers for the front sway bar brackets are a stupid idea..I like the all-metal ones on my older Foxes.  Anyway..the best way is to have someone help you from above with a socket and another wrench or breaker bar to hold them in place.  You'll need to use a hammer to get the socket down over the nut, and you will need a new nut retainer assy (get at the dealer).

You might as well replace your endlinks as well while you're there.  They are different from a Mustang...so check the length of the spacer between the two inner bushings and buy one to match.  I've gotten them from ES before.
