Strange but sincere question?

There's an old truck that I sold a few years ago that I'd like to find somehow and maybe try to buy it back (if it's not total junk). I was able to ask someone at the courthouse where the truck went. They said it first sold to an individual nearby, but was sold from there to someone in Virginia and they were unable to track it down since it went out of state.

I guess my question is, is there a site somewhere where you can type in the vin number and see where the vehicle is?

If I find where it is, the owner might think I'm weird, but I'd like to ask.

Well, I may not be able to do that. The info that the courthouse gave me was kind of illegal. She said that she wasn't suppose to give that kind of info out, but did it becuase she knew me.

Does it sound strange that I want to track down this truck?
