illuminated entry key hole lights

When I first got my car my driver side lit up but now niether do.  I went to see about putting bulbs in but there are none.  It looks like the electro luminescent thingys like the light up cougar heads.  I want mine to work again, any ideas?

Those are lit up by tiny LED's...once they're burned out, that's it. I haven't heard from anyone that's attempted to replace them. I suppose it is possible though.

Hmm, I was thinking.  drill into the backside of one just far enough to insert a new led.  epoxy it in place.  i'm gona try it

Are the lights seperate from the locks themselves? My '88 has them, but I've never had a reason to take them off.My '87 Mark VII parts car has them also.I'll get in there and pull them in the morning.
