Trouble: Aol Related?

well guys i have been trying to post and everytime i tried it would lock up my computer. I am not very computer "smart" but i had to do a full system recovery and now all seems fine does anyone know what have may caused this?

What do you use your computer for mainly? Are you using IE or fire fox? What kinds of spyware removal do you use? Also computer manufactorer?

just small business use and browsing

using IE

using aol provided spywar removal

it is a compaq persario  , w/ windows xp

Get Firefox and personally i would use webroot spysweeper.

first dump IE for fire fox. http://www.getfirefox.com

Second I wouldnt trust aol as far as I can throw it(although those disks sure are fun to thow far).

second disable all active x controls.
