The towers have fallen

Demolition took place yesterday at 10 a.m. For those unfamiliar with ISU, they are (were) some of the relatively older and taller dorms here. It happened very fast. For those on broadband, here's a video link: http://testing.archivalbackup.com/demo/7.19.2005_Tower_Demo.wmv

too lazy to edit..
pretty cool though. old dorms suck to live in. I think Michigan State has one of th tallest now at 12 stories.

They weren't that old (built in the late 60's), and they had air conditioning. I believe the concrete used to build them was bunk. I'll be living in Maple this fall and I think those were built in the early 70's.

Only the 60's? I was sure they were older than that. At least by the way they were falling apart. They had covered chain-link cages around the base of them to keep stuff from falling off and hitting people.
